Pharmacies on High Alert After 3 Robbed in a Short Period of Time

Officers from the Minneapolis Police Department were busy Wednesday evening with a rash of robberies.  In a span of approximately 35 minutes, three separate robberies occurred, one right after another.

At 5:44 pm, officers responded to the Walgreens on South Hennepin Avenue on a report of a robbery in their pharmacy.

At 6:13 pm, squads responded to the Cub Foods Pharmacy on Lagoon on a report of a robbery.

At 6:18 pm, officers responded to the Walgreens on West Lake Street on a report of a robbery in their pharmacy.

The suspect description is the same in all three cases; 2 black males, one slender and one heavier set.  Investigators are in working on all of the scenes gathering information and evidence.

The Minneapolis Police Department has notified all law enforcement agencies in the metro area of these crimes, as well as made contact with all pharmacies within the City.
