Fourth Precinct Inspector Michael Friestleben and a team of officers had the honor and pleasure of shopping and delivering gifts to a number of families in need this week. With the help of Principal Mauri Melander and her staff at Lucy Crafty Laney School, the officers made sure 27 kids, between the ages of 2 months and 17 years of age, received some of the items on their holiday wish lists.
This entire day of giving was made possible thanks to the generous donation from Bloomington-based The Posh Mommy (theposhmommy.com), a clothing boutique owned by Nicole Jennings. Posh Mommy was created by the significant others, wives and girlfriends of professional athletes who have combined their love of fashion and philanthropy. Nicole is the wife of former Minnesota Viking and current Miami Dolphin Wide Receiver Greg Jennings. This is the second consecutive year the couple has provided Christmas gifts to kids in North Minneapolis.
