The Minneapolis Police announce the arrests and charging in two recent homicides

On June 30th, Minneapolis Police responded to the area of E 24th Street and Oakland Avenue South on a report of a shooting. Officer arrived and located Mario McGee, 27 years of age, deceased in the street from a gunshot wound.

After an investigation with help from the community, the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office has charged Daquan Bradley with Murder in the 2nd Degree.

The second case occurred on July 4th at 3:30 pm when officers from the Minneapolis Police Department responded to the 1400 block of Morgan Avenue North on a report of a shooting. Officers arrived and located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound and were in critical condition. The victim, Christopher Danille Porter, age 38, was transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center where he died a short time later.

Officers arrested Anthony Collins at the scene. After several interviews, the case was sent to the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office who subsequently charged Collins with Murder in the 2nd Degree.
