Police Asking for the Public’s Help in Locating Two Missing Persons

November 1, 2016 (MINNEAPOLIS) Officers from the Fourth Precinct responded to a report of a missing person on October 31, 2016, at approximately 5:31 p.m. on the 1600 block of Newton Avenue North.

When officers arrived they learned that Cha’Tasia Jaree Buchanan, a 22-year-old adult female, had left the house on Friday, October 28th, with Triston James Alvin, her 14-month-old brother. Police were told they were on foot, headed towards Wally’s Foods, 1840 Penn Avenue North, but they have not been seen since leaving the home.

Buchanan has been described to police as a vulnerable adult and Alvin has a heart murmur. Police have been searching the neighborhood since the time the call was received and have not been successful in locating the pair.

Buchanan and Alvin have been entered as missing persons and the BCA has told police this does not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert.

The Minneapolis Police Department is asking that anyone with information about their whereabouts call 911 immediately.

  • Cha’Tasia Jaree Buchanan, DOB/12-04-1993, is a black female with brown hair, brown eyes, approximately 5’04 and 153 pounds. Buchanan was last seen wearing a black zip-up hoodie and black pants.\

 

  • Triston James Alvin, DOB/ 08-06-2015, is a black male with black curly hair and brown eyes, approximately 2’07 and 18 pounds. Alvin has a heart murmur and also a birth mark on the right side of his stomach in the shape of an egg.
