Sue Roethele is Retiring

FRIDAY, APRIL 29, 2016 – Today Inspector Michael Sullivan, Commander of the Minneapolis Police 3rd Precinct, announced that Sue Roethele, crime prevention specialist serving the 11 neighborhoods in Sector 3 of the precinct is retiring, effective Saturday, April 30, 2016. Ms. Roethele has served in Community Crime Prevention/SAFE in the 3rd Precinct since 1992. Sector 3 includes Field, Regina, Northrop, Hale, Page, Diamond Lake, Keewaydin, Minnehaha, Wenonah, Morris Park, Ericsson and a small portion of Standish neighborhoods.

“Sue’s commitment to making Minneapolis a better city to live in has been remarkable,” stated Inspector Sullivan. “Her continued efforts to put the residents of Minneapolis ahead of everything else is one of the things that has made her stand out!” commented Lt. Mike Fossum.

Sue has no idea the number of lives she has impacted and the people who are better off for her work. We thank Sue Roethele for her professionalism, kindness, and compassion for the past 23 years with the MPD!
