Officer Marvin A. Wicklund, 30, is the only officer in Minnesota to be killed at war and listed on the National Law Enforcement Memorial. He was on military leave at the time. He had served with the Minneapolis Police Department since February 18th, 1943. He was survived by his wife and three children. He was buried at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu.
