June 30, 2016 (MINNEAPOLIS) Shortly before 2:30 am on Wednesday, June 29th, Minneapolis Police responded to a report of shots heard in the area of 14th Ave SE and 6th Street SE. Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate any suspects or victims in the area.
A short period of time later, officers were advised that two people had shown up at the University of Minnesota Hospital with gunshot wounds. The wounds were described as non-life threatening.
Officers and investigators were able to locate a crime scene, and are following up on leads developed at the location and the hospital. This is being investigated as a bias motivated crime. Investigators have interviewed a number of people who have come forward in this case.
Whereas several people have come forward with information, the investigators are requesting that anyone who has information to please come forward.
