Minneapolis Police Investigate Early Morning Homicide

December 2, 2016 (MINNEAPOLIS) Minneapolis Police were called to the 4300 block of Humboldt Avenue North at approximately 3:09 a.m. after residents in the area reported hearing gunshots. Shortly after officers arrived on scene, they were informed an adult male had been dropped off at North Memorial Medical Center with life threatening injuries.

The victim died of his injuries several hours later. The identity of the victim, and the nature and cause of his death, will be released by the Medical Examiner.

Investigators have questioned multiple persons of interest and witnesses in this case as they continue to follow up on leads. They continued to canvass the area for evidence and potential witnesses throughout the day as well.

The officers of the 4th Precinct have also been out in the neighborhood talking with residents about the incident. Residents are encouraged to speak with officers if they have questions or if they have any information that may be helpful in the MPD’s investigation.
