Suspect Arrested in Stabbing Death


January 31, 2017 (MINNEAPOLIS) Officers from the Fourth Precinct responded to the 3200 block of 6th Street North at approximately 4:49 p.m. on a report of a stabbing.

When officers arrived they located an adult male victim that had been stabbed. The victim was transported to North Memorial Medical Center (NMMC) by paramedics. The male died a short time later.

Police have arrested a juvenile female in the stabbing death. Investigators say she is related to the victim. The female was transported to a local hospital to be evaluated and will be booked into the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center for Probable Cause Murder.

Officers from the Fourth Precinct will be in the neighborhood tomorrow talking with neighbors about this incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to speak with these officers.

This case is being investigated by the Minneapolis Police Department’s Homicide Unit. Case number 17-036257.
