Male Dies at Hospital after Weekend Shooting

June 5, 2017 (MINNEAPOLIS) On Sunday, June 4th, officers from the Third Precinct responded to a shooting on the 2400 block of 10th Avenue South at 2:27 p.m.

When officers arrived, they located a 17-year-old male on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) by paramedics for treatment. The victim died today at HCMC from his injuries.

The name of the deceased, as well as the cause and nature of his death, will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Officers from the Precinct and Investigators from the Minneapolis Police Department’s Homicide Unit are canvassing the area and talking with witnesses. We encourage community members to talk with officers and provide any information they may have.
