MPD Homicide Unit Investigates Man’s Death

June 11, 2017 (MINNEAPOLIS) Officers from the First Precinct responded to Park Avenue South and 16th Street East on a report of an unresponsive male at approximately 1:10 a.m. The 911 caller said the man was holding a handgun.

When officers arrived, they found the unresponsive adult male and requested paramedics from Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) to respond. The adult male was pronounced deceased by paramedics.

The name of the deceased, as well as the cause and nature of his death, will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.

This death is being investigated by the Minneapolis Police Department’s Homicide Unit. No arrests have been made in this case.
