Mayor Hodges and Acting Chief Arradondo Announce Body Camera Policy Change

July 26, 2017 (MINNEAPOLIS) Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges and Acting Police Chief Medaria Arradondo announced changes in the Police Department’s Body Worn Camera (BWC) Policy today. The changes, which go into effect in three days, require officers to begin recording when they are dispatched to any call for service, or take part in self-initiated activity. The new policy, as well as a version of the old policy that shows what has changed, can be found here:
