Minneapolis Police Investigate Early Morning Homicide

August 31, 2017 (MINNEAPOLIS) First Precinct officers working patrol in the ”Seven Corners” area responded to a shots-fired call at approximately 3:13 a.m. Upon arrival to the 1400 block of Washington Avenue South, they found the body of a deceased adult male. Based on the preliminary investigation, it appears the male was the victim of a shooting.

Patrol officers immediately began canvassing the area looking for evidence and witnesses. Homicide Investigators are looking to talk to anyone who may have witnessed or heard anything that may be related to this case. At this point the MPD does not have any suspect information to release and no one is in custody related to this incident.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the deceased, as well as the exact cause of his death.
