Four Victims Injured in Early Morning Shooting

November 18, 2017 (MINNEAPOLIS) Officers from the Fourth Precinct responded to the 3600 block of Emerson Avenue North at approximately 1:22 a.m. in response to 911 callers who heard the sound of gunshots. As officers were responding, the call was updated to a shooting.

When officers arrived they located two males in the front yard, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers provided medical care to the victims until paramedics arrived. The victims were transported to North Memorial Health Hospital (NMHH) by ambulance. The adult male victim, age 33, is being treated for non-life threatening wounds.  The second victim, a juvenile male, age 17, has a significant injury.

A third victim, an adult male, age 36, suffering from gunshot wounds was located in the alley from the original shooting call. The third victim was transported to NMHH by paramedics and is currently in stable condition.

While officers were securing the shooting scene, they were notified that another victim related to this shooting had been dropped off at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC). The adult male victim, age 20, had a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his shoulder.

Officers recovered a handgun at the scene. At this point in the investigation, it is believed there was an argument between the victims and suspect that preceded the shooting.

The shooting is being handled by investigators from the Violent Crimes Investigations Team.

There is no suspect information that can be released at this time and no arrests.
