Adult Male Dies Following Dispute in South Minneapolis

March 16, 2018 (MINNEAPOLIS) Officers from the Minneapolis Police Department’s 5th Precinct responded to a report of a possible shooting in the area of 43rd St. E and 1st Avenue South shortly after 10:30 pm Friday night.

Upon arrival officers were unable to locate any victim in the area. Several minutes later they were advised that an adult male had just been dropped off at the Hennepin County Medical Center by a private vehicle. The victim was brought into the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Officers and investigators canvassed the area of the report of the shooting as it is believed that the two calls are related. Additional investigators will be back out in the area on Saturday. The public is encouraged to speak with them.

The identity of the victim, along with the nature and cause of death, will be released by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
