Daily Dose of Great Police work

A Daily Dose of Great police Work doesn’t always have to mean feats of heroism, rather it can be an instance when they make a positive impact on someone’s life by a compassionate act.

Officers on the Northside Directed Patrol work hard every day to improve the relationships between the MPD and the communities we serve. They are well known to the community and often go the extra mile.

Yesterday was no different.

Officers George Warzinik and Pete Hafstad started their shift serving lunch and washing dishes at the Salvation Army located at 2024 Lyndale Ave North.

Towards the end of their shift they served dinner at River of Life Church located at 2200 Emerson Ave N.

In between this community service, they responded to 911 calls, performed business checks, and provided extra patrol to Northside Minneapolis Public Schools.

But that wasn’t enough of a full day for these two; they still managed to visit Sophina, and bring her a MPD Junior Officer sticker.   Check out Sophina’s story: https://www.kare11.com/article/news/local/land-of-10000-stories/cookie-girl-is-police-and-firefighter-friend/89-436884206

These officers go above and beyond daily. We are so lucky to have them in the 4th precinct!
