Early Morning Report of Shots Fired Leads to Discovery of Deceased Adult Male

July 21, 2018 (MINNEAPOLIS) Minneapolis Police responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the area of the 5700 block of 33rd Avenue South at 2:41 am. Saturday morning.  Upon arrival, officers located an adult male deceased inside of a car.  Evidence at the scene suggests that a handgun may have been used in this crime.

Officers knocked on the doors of area residences in efforts to find people who may have seen or heard anything. Investigators have started following up on those leads.

The Minneapolis Police Department Crime Lab responded to the scene and collected numerous articles of evidence that will be processed at the laboratory.

The Medical Examiner’s Office will provide the identity of the victim as well as the nature and cause of death.
