Minneapolis Police Act Quickly in Arrest of Last Night’s Homicide

August 10, 2018 (MINNEAPOLIS) Working off of leads generated at the scene, as well as physical evidence, the Minneapolis Police Department were able to arrest an adult male for the murder that happened August 9th on the 1000 block of Morgan Avenue North.

Jamar Mullins was booked into the Hennepin Adult Detention Center on Probable Cause Murder.  No information regarding the investigation or arrest will be made prior to a charging decision.  Mullins photo is also being withheld for investigative reasons. 


Minneapolis Police Begin Homicide Investigation After Evening Shooting

August 9, 2018 (MINNEAPOLIS) Officers from the Minneapolis Police Department’s Fourth Precinct responded to a report of a shooting on the 1000 block of Morgan Av. N. at approximately 8:11 p.m.  Officers located a male victim without a pulse and performed CPR until they were relieved by fire and EMS crews.

The adult male victim died at the scene.  The preliminary investigation indicates the suspect and the victim were known to each other.  Investigators are interviewing witnesses and officers are canvassing the area for additional evidence. 

The identity of the victim, as well as the nature and cause of his death, will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office. The criminal case number associated with this incident is 18-267787.
