2 Suspects Charged in String of Armed Robberies and the Shooting of Musician

October 12, 2018 (MINNEAPOLIS) – The Minneapolis Police Department, in conjunction with the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office, announce the arrest and charges against two people involved in a string of robberies in Northeast and Southeast Minneapolis. In one of these robberies a victim was shot.
Responding officers in each of these cases were able to gain enough information and robbery investigators immediately went to work. Witnesses and victims were interviewed, video was obtained and analyzed and physical evidence was collected. The hard work of the responding officers, robbery investigators, crime lab personnel and the county attorney’s team are all to credit for these cases being charged.
Natalie Nicole Box and Jonell Butler are charged with multiple Aggravated Robbery charges and one count of Second Degree Assault as a result of robberies that occurred on September 8th, October 5th and October 6th, 2018.
Additional charges are expected against both suspects.
Box and Butler are in custody in the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center.
