Minneapolis Police Investigate Suspicious Death

December 1, 2018 (MINNEAPOLIS) Saturday afternoon shortly after 3:00 pm, Minneapolis Police Officers responded to a report of a medical, possible heart, in an apartment on the 1900 block of Park Avenue South. Upon arrival officers found paramedics performing CPR on an adult male.  Resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful and the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

There was another adult male at the scene who was transported to the hospital. Both the decedent and the other adult male showed signs of physical injury.  The subject transported to the hospital is a person of interest in the death of the other male at the scene.

Detectives from the Minneapolis Police Department’s Homicide Unit canvassed the scene speaking with numerous people who may have heard or seen something. The Minneapolis Police Department Crime Lab personnel processed the scene collecting items of evidence for processing.

The identity of the deceased, along with the nature and cause of death, will be provided by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.
