MPD Investigating Attempted Child Luring

January 29, 2019 (Minneapolis) – The Minneapolis Police Department is currently investigating a child luring case that occurred at noon on Sunday January 27, 2019 on the 3800 block of 52nd St. W. in Minneapolis.

Preliminary information indicates on Sunday around noon a young child was outside playing.  The child’s parent had gone into the house momentarily, and when returning outside, saw a male with his arms extended toward the child.  The parent yelled and the male left.

The parent reported seeing the vehicle in the area shortly before this incident.

The suspect in this case is described as a white male in his 40s, black or gray hair, black goatee, wearing a dark or blue jacket.  The vehicle is described as a gray or silver vehicle with either front bumper damage, or a partial front bumper.
