March 1, 2019 (MINNEAPOLIS) Just prior to midnight on Friday evening Minneapolis Police responded to a report of a shots fired on the 300 block of Cedar Avenue.
Prior to arrival, officers were advised that an ambulance had been flagged down on the 2100 block of Riverside Avenue. In that vehicle were two gunshot victims. One person was deceased and one was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot sound. Paramedics transported one individual to Hennepin County Medical Center. Preliminary information is that the individuals were related to the incident on the 300 block of Cedar Avenue.
A short period of time later, Minneapolis Police were notified that another person had arrived at Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds from the same incident.
The Minneapolis Police Department’s Crime Lab processed both scenes and collected evidence for forensic analysis. Investigators from the Homicide Division, along with patrol officers, canvassed the area and spoke with several people who may have heard or seen something.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity, along with the nature and cause of death, of the deceased individual.
All victims appear to be adults.
