Minneapolis Police Begin Homicide Investigation

August 13, 2019 (MINNEAPOLIS) Just after 6:30am, Officers from the Minneapolis Police Department’s Second Precinct received a 911 call reporting a person down on the railroad bridge near 16 Av. NE and Marshall Street NE.   Officers arrived at the location with emergency medical technicians and located a male victim down on the bridge.  The male was deceased at the scene.

Homicide Investigators responded to the scene to check for possible witnesses, evidence and surveillance video. The Crime Lab also responded to process the crime scene for evidence.


The identity of the victim, as well as the nature and cause of his death, will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office. The criminal case number associated with this incident is 19-241359.
