Minneapolis Police Explorers compete at 24th annual Duluth Conference

October 22, 2019 (MINNEAPOLIS) – The Minneapolis Police Explorer Post, a group of teenagers and young adults interested in law enforcement as a career, competed at the 24th annual Duluth Conference held at Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College over MEA Weekend.

They were up against other explorer posts from around the state in teams of 3 to 4 members on each team, in scenarios made to mimic calls that police see on a daily basis. They were judged based on standards similar to what would be seen in a police academy.

Team B received a 2nd Place Award in Domestic Response (A bonus question of 5 points separated 1st and 2nd Place); Team C received a 2nd Place Award in Traffic Crash Response; and Sarahi Ruiz received a 3rd Place Award in Employment Interview.

We are extremely proud of the hard work and dedication displayed by the Explorers that competed at this year’s conference!
