MPD supports fight to end gun violence by inviting an activist to speak in Minneapolis

February 11, 2020 (MINNEAPOLIS) – We believe in the importance of fighting to end gun violence across Minneapolis. In order to spread the word, MPD Officers invited a young activist by the name of Aaliyah Stewart to speak with students and our community.

Stewart traveled from Gary, Indiana to share her personal story about gun violence, as well as what she is doing with youth to try and end it.
She spoke at Roosevelt High School and Folwell Community Center.
