July 26, 2020 (MINNEAPOLIS) – On Monday, July 13, 2020 at 6:42 pm, officers from the Minneapolis Police Department responded to a report of a shooting on the 2500 block of Golden Valley Road. Information received en route is that one person was shot, and the suspect fled in a vehicle.
Officers arrived and located the victim. Officers applied direct pressure and a tourniquet in attempts to keep the victim from bleeding to death. Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to North Memorial Medical Center via ambulance. The victim was in critical condition.
On July 25th, the Minneapolis Police Department was advised that the victim in this case had died.
The Minneapolis Police Department Crime Lab personnel responded and processed the scene, collecting evidence. Officers canvassed the area and spoke with several people who may have heard or seen something.
The identity of the deceased, along with the nature and causes of death, will be released by the Medical Examiner in the days to come.
