September 30, 2020 (MINNEAPOLIS) – On Wednesday morning at 12:48 am, Minneapolis Police responded to a report of a ShotSpotter activation on the 3500 block of Bryant Avenue North.
Officers arrived and located an adult male in the alley suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers began lifesaving measures on the victim until relieved by paramedics. The victim was transported to North Memorial Health Hospital in grave condition.
Officers began a search of the area and made contact with an adult male who was hostile and resistant to the officer’s investigation. Evidence located indicated that this individual was a person of interest in this shooting. He was detained and is being interviewed.
Officers were notified that the victim died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
The Minneapolis Crime Lab responded and processed the scene.
The identity of the victim, along with the nature and cause of death, will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office in the coming days.
