Man Dies at Hospital Hours After Shooting

November 21, 2020 (MINNEAPOLIS) – On Saturday, November 21, 2020, at 5:20 pm, Minneapolis Police responded to a report of a shooting in the area of the 3700 block of North 6th Street.

Officers arrived and were unable to locate any victims.  In speaking with people in the area, they told the officers that two people had been shot and were transported by personal vehicles to an area hospital.  Minneapolis Police notified area hospitals to be prepared for two gunshot victims to be coming in.  Minutes later officers were advised that they two victims had just arrived at North Memorial Medical Center.

The two victims, reported to be one adult male, believed to be in his 40’s, and an adult female, believed to be in her 20’s.  Both were suffering from gunshot wounds and both were in critical condition.

Crime Lab personnel responded to document the scene and collect evidence.  Homicide Detectives are now working this case.

The Medical Examiner notified the Minneapolis Police Department that the adult male victim died at the hospital several hours later.  The Medical Examiner will release the identity of the victim, along with the nature and cause of death in the days to come.
