December 11, 2020 (MINNEAPOLIS) The Minneapolis Police Department has arrested a 44-year-old male in connection to the repeated damage to property cases on the 5100 block of Cedar Avenue South. There have been 9 incidents of damage to property since March 25th of 2020.
Several detectives from different units worked collectively with both the victim’s family and the community to develop a suspect and obtain DNA evidence.
On Friday afternoon, Minneapolis Police executed a search warrant on the 3500 block of Park Avenue South and arrested the suspect. Rasheed Rasson Richardson, age 44, was booked into the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center on Probable Cause Stalking and Threats of Violence.
It should be noted that Richardson is booked under the name of Lamar Johnson, age 45.
Update on Repeated Damage to Property
December 2, 2020 (MINNEAPOLIS) Over the past several weeks, there has been repeated vandalism to one particular address in the area of the 5100 block of Cedar Avenue South.
The Minneapolis Police Department has launched an investigation into these crimes and are working closely with the victim(s) at the residence. Multiple units within the Department are assisting with the investigation.
The purpose of this release is to notify the public that we are aware of these incidents and we are doing everything we can with the resources we have to thwart these crimes and bring those responsible to justice.
Because this is a very active investigation, we are unable to disclose all of the efforts being put forward. We are asking for the public’s help in solving these crimes.
