January 22, 2021 (MINNEAPOLIS) – At 3:57 am on Friday morning, a 911 call came into the Minneapolis Emergency Communications Center reporting a stabbing on the 2000 block of Queen Avenue North.
Officers arrived and located an adult male inside the residence suffering from a stab wound. Officers rendered emergency aid while other officers checked the residence for additional victims or suspects. None were located.
Paramedics arrived and immediately transported the victim to North Memorial Medical Center in grave condition. The victim died a short time later at the hospital.
What lead up to the stabbing is unknown at this time and is under investigation. No one is in custody.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Lab personnel responded to the scene.
The Medical Examiner will release the identity of the victim, along with the nature and cause of death in the days to come.
