Stolen Auto and Child Located Safe

February 6, 2021 (MINNEAPOLIS) – At 2:40 pm, Brooklyn Center Police notified the Minneapolis Police that they had located the stolen automobile and missing one-year-old child on the 5600 block of Brooklyn Boulevard.

Preliminary information is that the vehicle was left at the entrance of a church and the suspect fled. The suspect left the vehicle running. The child is being transported to an area medical facility to be checked out, which is standard procedure. The vehicle will be processed for forensic evidence.

The Minneapolis Police Department would like to thank our law enforcement partners and all that assisted in this search. We would especially like to thank the media for getting this information out so quickly to so many people. It was a citizen caller that sent officers to this location.

February 6, 2021 (MINNEAPOLIS) – These are photos of the actual vehicle stolen and a photo of the missing child.

All available resources of the Minneapolis Police Department have been assigned to this incident along with support from the Minneapolis Traffic Enforcement Agents, Hennepin County Sheriff’s deputies, officers from Metro Transit Police Department and the Minnesota State Patrol. The helicopter from the Minnesota State Patrol is also providing air support in this search. An Amber Alert was put out in conjunction with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

The public is being asked to check their driveways, alleyways and areas surrounding them to look for this vehicle.

Anyone seeing this vehicle is asked to call 911 immediately.

The child is identified as Da’Merion White, date of birth 09/24/2019.



February 6, 2021 (MINNEAPOLIS) – At 12:17 PM today a vehicle was stolen from the 4200 block of Humboldt Avenue North with a one-year-old boy in the back seat.

The vehicle is described as a 2005 white Grand Cherokee bearing Minnesota registration CRY 661. A photo of a 2005 Grand Cherokee is included, but note; THIS IS NOT THE STOLEN vehicle, but should look similar to this.

An Amber Alert is being issued by the BCA. Anyone seeing this vehicle should call 911 immediately.
