Ron Kjos, father of Assistant Chief Mike Kjos, collected 2.5 million pop can pull-tabs since 2006. On Monday, March 18th he donated them all to the Ronald McDonald House in Minneapolis! MPD employees came to help assist him with the donation, then stayed to prepare lunch for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.

On Thursday, February 28th the MPD Community Engagement Team and Navigators were invited by The Links, Inc. for a private tour of the Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery (1256 Penn Avenue North). This was a very interesting and educational tour, which highlighted the struggles and great accomplishments of the Minnesota African American community.
On Tuesday, February 26th the Community Engagement Team served lunch, which included warm chili, to the community at House of Charity in Downtown Minneapolis.
