The Minneapolis Police Department announced Monday an arrest in the Birdell Beeks homicide case. An adult male has been charged with murder and booked into Hennepin County Jail. Birdell, a 58-year-old grandmother, was killed last May in gang crossfire as she sat in her minivan near the corner of 21st and Penn Avenue North.
