Chief Medaria Arradondo is the the 53rd Chief of the Minneapolis Police Department. He joined the MPD in 1989 as a patrol officer in the 4th Precinct. He has served as a School Resource Officer and a Northside beat officer. He served as the Commander of the Internal Affairs Unit and Inspector of the 1st Precinct, Deputy Chief, and Chief of Staff. Chief Arradondo was nominated by the mayor in 2017.
